18th Julia Margaret Cameron Award until 27 March 2022

Deadline: 27 March 2022. The Jurors of the 18th Julia Margaret Cameron Award will select four Winners, Women Photographers in the Professional Section (Series and Single Image) and Non-Professional Section (Series and Single Image), respectively.

The Jurors will also select winners, runners up, and honourable mentions in all categories. All these selected photographers will be invited to exhibit in a collective exhibition in a space contiguous to the exhibition of the four overall winners. In the collective exhibition, the exhibition organization and venue costs will be borne by The Worldwide Photography Gala Awards. At the same time, the exhibitors will be charged for printing and framing as well as setup costs (hanging, labelling, and insurance) in the amount of $280, approximately, per piece. By participating in this award, artists acknowledge that they will be charged for the printing in case of participating in the exhibition and that for that purpose will have to submit high-resolution files of 300 dpi suitable for fine art printing. In exceptional cases, artists selected for exhibitions will be able to send framed prints ready to hang, or prints to be framed by the organizers of the exhibition, at lower costs than the cost paid for printing and framing.

Prizes:

Fully-paid Solo Exhibition: The Gala Awards will organize an exhibition for each of the above mentioned four Winners in the respective sections taking care of all exhibition expenses, including printing and framing of up to 20 photographs each. The exhibition will be held in the FotoNostrum Gallery in Barcelona in October 2022 (the date may change and is yet to be decided according to the sanitary conditions). A curator designated by The Worldwide Photography Gala Awards will assist the Winners in the selection of the work to be exhibited and will take care of the exhibition setup.

Travel & Lodging honoraries: The four winners in Pro and non-Pro sections will receive -on top of the fully-paid solo exhibition- US$1,000 each to help them cover travel and lodging expenses to attend the opening reception.
