Deadline: 13 May 2026. Wiki Loves Bangla (also known as Banglar Preme Wiki) is an international photography contest that celebrates the richness and diversity of Bengali culture and heritage. Organised by Bangla WikiMoitree, the contest is part of the broader Bangla Culture and Heritage Collation Program, which aims to document and preserve the traditions, festivals, architecture, and everyday life of Bengali communities worldwide.

Each year, the contest features a specific theme, inviting both amateur and professional photographers to capture and share visual stories related to Bangla culture. Participants from around the world submit their photographs to Wikimedia Commons (commons.wikimedia.org) under free licenses, allowing the images to be used on Wikipedia and other platforms with proper attribution.

The initiative promotes open knowledge while helping to build a freely accessible visual archive of Bengali heritage. The contest is typically held annually during April–May and is supported by Wikimedia communities.

The theme for this year is “Festivals of Bangla.”
