Exploring our connection with nature – DEATH – until 4 November 2019

Deadline: 4 November 2019. Where the Leaves Fall is an independent magazine exploring humankind’s connection with nature. Each issue explores three themes with a photography competition around one of these themes. The chosen theme for our first competition (second issue) is death.

The brief is open for photographers to submit up to 10 high resolution photographs on this theme – they can be a set. Although we invite an open interpretation of ‘death,’ it is important the photographs demonstrate an interaction between humankind and nature, and are of course respectful. The deadline is 4 November 2019.

From chosen sets, we will select either one photo, or the full selection, to feature in the next print issue of Where the Leaves Fall. This competition is for each issue of the magazine, so sign up to our mailing list for details of future competitions.

The magazine is made in conversation with OmVed Gardens, where an annual exhibition of the competition photography will be hosted. Your photograph may also be featured on the @wtlfmag or @omvedgardens Instagram accounts. We hope you enjoy this opportunity to have your work shown, but also to turn your camera on and engage with nature.

Please send your photos via WeTransfer to photos@wheretheleavesfall.com – include your name and contact information, as well as a link to your other work if you have this available.

There will be a photo competition for each issue of the magazine. Sign up to our newsletter (below) and follow us on social media @wtlfmag for details.
