The winners will be announced in November 2020.

First Prize: £250

Historic England Category: A behind-the-scenes heritage experience plus £100-worth of historic England publications.

Eligibility:

Entrants to the Historic Photographer of the Year Competition may be from anywhere in the world. All entrants to the Historic England category must be UK residents. All entrants must be aged 18 (eighteen) years or over and must not be employees of the Promoter, their families or anyone associated with the Competitions. Limited digital enhancements to the images are permitted, but these are restricted to cropping, sharpening, optimising, adjusting contrast and colour balance, HDR and minor retouching. Entrants are not permitted to manipulate the image in a way which would be likely to mislead or which would alter the nature of the image or subject. The Promoter reserves the right to reject anything they reasonably feel has been overly-manipulated or which distorts the integrity of the subject. Entries may be made using a camera, smartphone or tablet, digitally or using film. In all cases, files (or scans in the case of images on film) must be uploaded onto the Website. No print submissions will be accepted.
