RSPCA Young Photographer Awards – until 16 August 2019

Deadline: 16 August 2019. The RSPCA Young Photographer Awards is open to anyone aged 18 or younger. The aim of the competition is to encourage young people’s interest in photography and their appreciation and understanding of the animals around them.

The first RSPCA Young Photographer Awards was a one-off event to celebrate our 150th royal anniversary in 1990 – and 29 years later it’s still going strong, attracting thousands of entries from young people across the UK.

The competition includes a wide range of categories plus awards for the overall winner and winners of each category, encouraging all ages and abilities to take part. There is something for everyone and, as you can enter more than one photograph in each category, you can select a range of your best work to enter.

Under 12 Years category

The winner will receive £250 worth of camera vouchers from Wex Photo Video, an exclusive photoshoot at one of our animal centres, and an RSPCA Young Photographer Awards trophy plus a Camtraptions PIR Motion Sensor and Camera Connecting Cable.

Runners-up will receive a certificate and WildlifePhoto.com Lifelong Premium Membership.
12-15 Years category

16-18 Years category

Overall winner

The overall winner will receive a weekend photography break, Deer and Bird of Prey – UK – 2020, with award­-winning wildlife photographer Danny Green’s team at Natures Images.

Worth £595, this fabulous prize includes two nights’ accommodation and a parent/guardian. The overall winner will also receive an RSPCA Young Photographer Awards trophy, and your photo will also be exhibited at the ceremony.
People’s Choice Award winner

The winner will receive £100 worth of camera vouchers from Wex Photo Video, an RSPCA Young Photographer Awards trophy and a certificate.
Generation Kind Award

The winner will receive £100 worth of camera vouchers from Wex Photo Video and an RSPCA Young Photographer Awards trophy.
