FOTOAWARD ends 31 December 2026

Deadline: 31 December 2026. FOTOAWARD is an independent, free, non-commercial international photography competition created and run by photography enthusiasts for photographers worldwide. Since 2018, the project has provided a platform where photographers of all genres can compete on equal terms without category restrictions or entry fees.

Unlike many photography competitions, FOTOAWARD follows an invitation-only model. Photographers first submit examples of their work for review, and selected authors receive an invitation to participate in the main competition. This approach helps maintain a consistently high standard while remaining accessible to talented photographers from any country.

The competition welcomes all photographic genres, including landscape, wildlife, street photography, documentary, portraiture, travel, fine art, conceptual work, architecture, sports, and experimental photography. Images compete directly against one another rather than being separated into categories.

Throughout the year, accepted works are published on the competition exhibition platform, where they are viewed and evaluated by an active international audience. In addition to public engagement, photographs are reviewed by an international jury composed of respected photography professionals.

FOTOAWARD emphasizes transparency. The complete archive of participating works, ratings, results, and contest history has remained publicly accessible since 2018, allowing photographers to review previous editions and understand the judging process.

The project is organized entirely on a volunteer basis and remains completely free to enter. Its mission is to discover, support, and promote outstanding photographers from around the world while providing meaningful recognition and valuable awards.

Winners receive multiple valuable tangible prizes, photography-related awards. The competition focuses on meaningful prizes for photographers rather than symbolic certificates alone.
