Still / Motion Photography Exhibition ends 27 April 2026

Deadline: 27 April 2026. Still / Motion, the polarity being explored in this exhibition will be that between stillness/ freezing a moment and movement caught and expressed through photography.

Capturing movement or the lack of, is a technique that has been used in photography from the start of photography. Slowing the world down to capture a fleeting moment, like Henri Cartier-Bresson photographing a bicycle speeding down a road, or freezing a man mid leap.

Photography can capture a quiet moment, or chaos of modern life, it can slow things down, or speed things up, and it can reflect what we feel internally, through technical or creative means.

Photographers are asked to explore this theme however they wish, whether focusing on one aspect or both in their submissions.
