Diptych/Triptych ends 26 September 2025

Deadline: 26 September 2025. The Glasgow Gallery of Photography is running an exhibition in February called Diptych/Triptych.

A new theme for the gallery of photography, we have decided to explore diptychs and triptychs in photography.

While we have exhibited these types of images before, this will be the first time that we have a whole exhibition of them.

Diptychs and triptychs have been used in art as a visual way to tell stories or narrative to the viewer. It can be used as a way to enhance the impact of the visual storytelling and add depth to what is being shown.

The images can be related but distinct photographs, a sequence of photographs or it can be a larger image, such as a panorama, that has been split into sections.

The genre of photography is completely open, so it can be portraits, still life, documentary, landscapes, abstracts, or a mixture, it is really up to you. We want to see how you use this technique to express your visual storytelling.

Please note that work may be displayed on a single print.

Diptych/Triptych is an open call for photographers to submit up to 8 images.

Prizes:

Photographers who are selected will have their work displayed in a month long exhibition in our gallery, with their work also appearing online in an online gallery on our website.

All participants that are selected to take part in the exhibition will receive a digital certificate of participation and will also be put forward for a chance to be named Photographer of the Month
