Mangrove Photography Awards ends 1 June 2026

Deadline: 1 June 2026. The Mangrove Photography Awards, an initiative of Mangrove Action Project, connects people around the world with one of the most vital coastal ecosystems. Now in its 12th year, the Awards provides a global platform that highlights the beauty, biodiversity, and fragility of mangrove forests. Through this visual storytelling, audiences are inspired to understand their ecological importance and their role in climate resilience, coastal protection, and biodiversity.

The 2026 categories are: Wildlife; Underwater; Threats; People; Landscape; Conservation Stories (Portfolio)

Winners will be awarded in each category, in addition to an overall Mangrove Photographer of the Year, Young Mangrove Photographer of the Year, and a People’s Choice Award. Eligible photos will also be in with a chance of winning the UNESCO Award, Emirates Award, and Arabian Gulf Award.

Each year, selected entries gain global media exposure, with standout photographers invited to showcase their work at partner exhibitions around the world.
