Barcelona Photography Festival on Human Rights and Global Justice ends 9 October 2026

Deadline: 9 October 2026. We are looking for photography projects about human rights and global justice!

We are pleased to announce the open call for the VI edition of the BCN-DH Photography Contest, organised as part of the Barcelona International Photography Festival on Human Rights and Global Justice.

The Associació Catalana per la Pau (ACP) and Más Retina are launching this initiative to discover, recognise and promote outstanding photographic projects addressing human rights and global justice.

Using photography as a tool for social justice, the contest aims to shed light on global challenges and the causes behind them. Our objective is to create spaces for reflection and information that foster critical citizenship and encourage active engagement in contemporary debates.

The ten projects selected by the jury will be exhibited in the streets of Barcelona during the festival, from December 1, 2026, to January 10, 2027, and will be included in the catalogue of the 2026 edition.

Prizes:

€3,000 cash prize for the winner, plus three prizes of €400 each for the best project in each of the remaining three categories.
