Nomad Art Prize ends 30 June 2026

Deadline: 30 June 2026. The Nomad Art Prize is an international award for the visual arts celebrating the dialogue between artistic creation and the places that inspire it. Founded on the belief that art is by its very nature nomadic — capable of crossing borders, cultures and contexts — the prize aims to discover 8 artists whose work embodies this spirit of movement.

Each edition takes place in a different city, creating a shifting geography of contemporary art. For 2026, Lisbon — with its layered history, maritime heritage and vibrant creative scene — is both backdrop and muse.

Theme

In “Nomad Art Prize” the artists are invited to explore displacement, travel and the tension between roots and movement.

Prizes:

€ 1,000 cash prize for each of the 8 selected artists
Exhibition: LX Factory, Lisbon – October 2026
Residency: One-week residency in Lisbon (travel & accommodation included)
