What the Streets Hold ends 15 January 2027

Deadline: 15 January 2027. What the Streets Hold is a Decagon Gallery open call for street photography, juried by Teona Machavariani, Curator and Artistic Director of Decagon Gallery.

We are looking for photographs of what people reveal without meaning to: how they wait, protect themselves, occupy space, or stay separate in shared places. Images may be made on streets, in stations, markets, public transport, or neighborhoods. We want images that feel emotionally true, not only dramatic events or perfectly timed moments.

Selected photographers receive an online exhibition (February 10 to April 10, 2027), publication in a professionally designed exhibition catalog, and digital badges and certificates.

Prizes:</strong

First Place: $500
Second Place: $250
Third Place: $150
Two Honorable Mentions: $50 each
Human Presence Award: free entry to a future exhibition of the winner’s choice

Cash awards are limited to one per photographer. If multiple submissions win, the photographer receives only the award of greatest value.
