GCPL Photo Annual ends 15 August 2022

Deadline: 15 August 2022. Gwinnett County Public Library invites photographers to submit to the GCPL Photo Annual. Selected photographers will have their work exhibited at our beautiful Duluth branch and published in a handmade exhibition guide during the Atlanta Celebrates Photography festival in October. Additionally, selected entries may be displayed at our Norcross or Grayson Branch and, optionally, on a virtual web exhibit. This year’s theme is “Jumping Through Time.”

Juror:
This year’s entries are juried by Coco Conroy, the Director at Jackson Fine Art Gallery in Atlanta, GA. Jackson Fine Art has a 30-year history of supporting fine art photography artists and collectors through the curation, showcasing, and management of several collections. Jackson Fine Art has collaborated with many public institutions, including The Metropolitan Museum of Art and The High Museum of Art.

Theme:

Explore the past, the present, or the future in this year’s theme, Jumping through Time. We are looking for broad interpretations of the theme, including fictional narratives, emotional landscapes, literal translations, altered timelines, and more.

Any photographic, lens or light-based images are welcome for entry, including staged scenes, manipulated images, mixed media, alternative processes, or anything you can imagine. For submission, the work needs to result in a digital file that can be submitted and printed on large format vinyl for public installation. Please note that artworks cannot contain nudity, drug use, or violence.

Prizes:

Featured in GCPL Exhibition, exhibition guide and virtual exhibition.
