Deadline: 5 November 2018. The Getty Images Creative Bursary fosters emerging creative photographic talent by supporting projects and productions for new commercial content that without funding, would otherwise not get off the ground.
Getty Images mission is to move the world with images and we believe in this power. We are at the forefront of cutting-edge advertising and creative photography, trends and art-direction, yet we recognise that breaking into the commercial industry can be difficult. In a time when little budget exists for extensive creative art-directed shoots, establishing yourself as a new photographer is tougher than ever, yet in today’s digital age, it is vital as an industry that we continue to attract and nurture emerging photographic talent.
We have introduced the Getty Images Creative Bursary to provide emerging commercial talent with the financial freedom to explore their own projects of personal and creative significance – projects and productions that without funding, would otherwise not get off the ground. If you are a photographer who is either under the age of 30 or has been shooting for less than three years, you are eligible to apply for our Creative Bursary to help fund that ground-breaking new shoot, or your next commercial project.
Three grants will be awarded a quarter, at totals of $5K, $3K and $2K respectively to the best creative commercial project pitches from photographers who demonstrate creative innovation in their approach and execution.
