Juried Photography Exhibition BLACK & WHITE ends 14 May 2026

Deadline: 14 May 2026. More than half a century after the widespread adoption of color photography, black and white continues to assert a distinct and vital visual language—one grounded in reduction, contrast, and form. Without color, the image is stripped to its essential elements. Light defines structure. Tone carries weight. Surface, texture, and gesture become primary. What remains is not absence, but focus—an image constructed through precision, clarity, and visual intent. Praxis Gallery seeks photographic work that engages black & white and monochromatic practice as a deliberate act—where meaning is built through the interplay of light and shadow, form and contrast.

Prizes:

Up to 74 images will be selected by the juror for exhibition at Praxis Gallery. Photographers will be notified of their selection 12 days after the deadline. The acceptance notification email will include instructions for shipping artwork or submitting high-resolution digital files for printing.
